Shunt, Instant, designed by Greg Hildebrandt first released in Feb, 2004 in the set Darksteel and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 1.26.
This card, Shunt, would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on disrupting your opponent's strategy by redirecting their key spells. It could be particularly useful in a deck that aims to protect its own creatures or combo pieces by redirecting removal spells or counterspells. While Shunt can be situationally powerful, there are better options available such as Deflecting Swat or Ricochet Trap, which offer more versatility and potential for blowout plays. Overall, Shunt could see play in specific metagames or sideboard situations where redirecting spells is crucial, but it may not be a staple in most decks.

If a spell targets multiple things, you can’t target it with Shunt, even if all but one of those targets has become illegal.

Once the spell resolves, the new target is considered to be targeted by the deflected spell. This will trigger any effects which trigger on being targeted.

You can choose to make a spell on the stack target this spell (if such a target choice would be legal had the spell been cast while this spell was on the stack). The new target for the deflected spell is not chosen until this spell resolves. This spell is still on the stack when new targets are selected for the spell.
