Stilte is een krachtige kaart die nuttig kan zijn in een controledeck dat het spelplan van de tegenstander wil verstoren. Terwijl Silence het vermogen van een tegenstander om spreuken uit te spreken voor een beurt kan uitschakelen, zijn er meer veelzijdige opties zoals Teferi, Time Raveler of Grand Aboliser die vergelijkbare effecten bieden met extra voordelen. Stilte zou kunnen spelen in specifieke metagames waar instant-snelheidsspreuken de overhand hebben, maar over het algemeen is dit misschien niet de meest optimale keuze vergeleken met andere beschikbare opties.

Silence won’t affect spells that your opponents cast before you cast Silence, including any spells that are still on the stack. Silence also won’t stop your opponents from casting spells after you cast Silence but before Silence resolves.
