About Tarief

Tarief, Tovenarij, designed by Kev Walker first released in juni 1997 in the set Weatherlight and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 0,42.

Een controle- of midrange-deck dat zich richt op het verstoren van de boardstaten van tegenstanders en het behouden van een manavoordeel zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Tariff in Magic: the Gathering. Hoewel Tarief een krachtig hulpmiddel kan zijn om offers af te dwingen en potentieel kaartvoordeel te genereren, is het misschien niet altijd de meest efficiënte optie vergeleken met andere verwijderingsspreuken zoals Path to Exile of Swords to Plowshares, die een meer directe en gerichte verwijdering bieden. Of Tariff het spel ziet, hangt af van de specifieke metagame- en deckstrategie, maar het kan een situationele en interessante opname zijn voor bepaalde matchups.

Although Tariff checks the mana value of the creatures on the battlefield, you need to pay the creature's actual mana cost (including color) to keep it on the battlefield.

First the active player identifies the creature they control with the highest mana cost (and chooses one if there's a tie) and chooses whether to sacrifice it or pay mana. Then each other player in turn order does the same. All creatures sacrificed this way are sacrificed at the same time.

The choice of creatures is made on resolution and not on announcement.

You can use mana abilities during the resolution of this spell if the player decides to pay the mana cost.

You choose whether to pay or not on resolution. If not, then you sacrifice the creature. You can choose to not pay if you control no creatures on resolution.
