About Theorist's Proxy
Theorist's Proxy, Creature — illusion, designed by Camille Alquier first released in september 2026 in the set Reality Fracture and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It see play in 3 formats: Legacy, Modern and Vintage. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 0,88.
Theorist’s Proxy would best fit a blue flash, tempo, control, or combo deck—especially one that wants to develop a Jace token while protecting a crucial finisher, tutor, or board wipe from countermagic; its Flash lets you keep mana open, and sacrificing it for `{U}` gives immediate protection, though the two-mana cost and requirement to spend a creature make it less efficient than dedicated alternatives. For repeatedly forcing spells through countermagic, Vexing Shusher is generally better because it can protect multiple spells and does not need to be sacrificed; Cavern of Souls is better for creature-heavy tribal decks, while Delighted Halfling is better for decks whose important spells are legendary creatures. Theorist’s Proxy is still more flexible than those cards because it creates or strengthens Jace and can protect any single spell, so it could see play in casual Commander, Jace-focused builds, or a metagame dominated by counterspells, but without unusually strong Jace support o

Empower Jace won't let you put loyalty counters on nontoken Jace planeswalkers. However, if you control a Jace planeswalker token that you got another way (such as an effect that creates a token that's a copy of a permanent), empower Jace will put loyalty counters on that.
21/08/2026
If you control a Jace planeswalker token, you can't choose to create a new one when you empower Jace. You have to put the loyalty counters on your existing Jace planeswalker token. In the rare case that you control multiple Jace planeswalker tokens, you'll choose one of those tokens to put the loyalty counters on.

Some spells and abilities that empower Jace may require targets. If each target chosen is an illegal target as that spell or ability tries to resolve, it won't resolve. You won't empower Jace.
21/08/2026
To empower Jace N, if you don't control a Jace planeswalker token, create a blue Jace planeswalker token with 0 loyalty, "[−1]: Surveil 1," and "[−3]: Draw a card." Choose a Jace planeswalker token you control. Put N loyalty counters on it.
