About Donderstaf
Donderstaf, Artefact, designed by Kaja Foglio first released in Feb, 2004 in the set Darksteel and was printed exactly in 5 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 0.31.
Een controledeck dat zich richt op het vertragen van het spel en het voorkomen van schade zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Thunderstaff, omdat het een manier biedt om binnenkomende gevechtsschade te beperken. Er zijn echter potentieel betere opties beschikbaar, zoals kaarten die meer impactvolle effecten bieden of lagere manakosten hebben voor vergelijkbare vaardigheden. Thunderstaff zou in bepaalde metagames kunnen spelen waarbij het voorkomen van schade cruciaal is, maar het is misschien geen hoofdbestanddeel van de meeste decks vanwege het beperkte nut ervan in vergelijking met andere opties.

If Thunderstaff is untapped, it prevents 1 damage from each creature, each time it would deal combat damage to you. So if three creatures with double strike attack you and aren’t blocked, Thunderstaff will prevent a total of 6 damage.
