About Tijd stop
Tijd stop, Direct, designed by Scott M. Fischer first released in Oct, 2004 in the set Champions of Kamigawa and was printed exactly in 9 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 0.14.
Een controledeck gericht op het verstoren van het spelplan van de tegenstander en het kopen van tijd om hun winstvoorwaarde in te stellen, zou baat hebben bij het gebruik van Time Stop in Magic: the Gathering. Hoewel Time Stop een krachtig hulpmiddel kan zijn om de beurt van een tegenstander te stoppen en de speler mogelijk te behoeden voor een dodelijke aanval of combo voor het einde van het spel, is het misschien niet altijd de meest efficiënte optie vergeleken met andere controlekaarten zoals Counterspell of Time Walk, die veelzijdiger en directe voordelen. Time Stop zou situationeel spel kunnen zien in specifieke metagames of matchups waar het unieke effect bijzonder waardevol is, maar het is misschien geen basiskaart in de meeste controledecks.

Ending the turn this way means the following things happen in order: 1) All spells and abilities on the stack are exiled. This includes Time Stop, though it will continue to resolve. It also includes spells and abilities that can’t be countered. 2) All attacking and blocking creatures are removed from combat. 3) State-based actions are checked. No player gets priority, and no triggered abilities are put onto the stack. 4) The current phase and/or step ends. The game skips straight to the cleanup step. The cleanup step happens in its entirety.

Exiling a spell or ability prevents that spell or ability from resolving, but it doesn’t technically “counter” anything. This means that Time Stop can exile spells and abilities that “can’t be countered.”
