Marteling, Betovering – aura, designed by Mark Tedin first released in Oct, 1995 in the set Homelands and was printed exactly in 5 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 0.30.
Een deck dat zich richt op -1/-1 counters en het debuffen van wezens van tegenstanders zou er baat bij hebben Torture in hun strategie op te nemen, vooral in een op zwart gebaseerd controledeck. Hoewel Torture in bepaalde situaties effectief kan zijn, zijn er meer veelzijdige en impactvolle kaarten zoals Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons of Nest of Scarabs die extra waarde en synergie bieden met -1/-1 counters. Over het geheel genomen wordt Torture mogelijk niet veel gebruikt in competitieve Magic: The Gathering-decks vanwege de beperkte impact ervan in vergelijking met andere beschikbare opties.

The -1/-1 counters that are put on the enchanted creature are independent of Torture. If Torture leaves the battlefield or is moved to another creature, the counters will stay put.
