Oom Istvan zou baat hebben bij een controledeck dat tot doel heeft het spel te vertragen en zijn levenstotaal te beschermen, vooral tegen agressieve, op wezens gebaseerde strategieën. Er zijn echter betere opties beschikbaar in Magic: the Gathering voor vergelijkbare effecten, zoals [[Fog Bank]] of [[Wall of Denial]], die meer veelzijdigheid en veerkracht bieden.
