Veinfire Grenspost, Artefact, designed by Ralph Horsley first released in Apr, 2009 in the set Alara Reborn. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 0.29.
Veinfire Borderpost zou nuttig zijn in een deck dat tot doel heeft het bord in een vroeg stadium te controleren en toegang heeft tot zowel zwarte als rode mana. Het kan zorgen voor extra mana-fixing en ramp, waardoor consistenter spelen mogelijk is in een deck dat beide kleuren vereist. Er zijn echter waarschijnlijk betere opties beschikbaar voor mana-fixing en ramp in de meeste competitieve decks, zoals dual lands of mana rocks zoals Arcane Signet. Veinfire Borderpost ziet misschien niet veel spel in sterk geoptimaliseerde decks, maar zou een plaats kunnen hebben in meer casual of budgetdecks die op zoek zijn naar opties voor kleurfixatie.

Casting this card by paying its alternative cost doesn’t change when you can cast it. You can cast it only at the normal time you could cast an artifact spell. It also doesn’t change the spell’s mana cost or converted mana cost. The only difference is the cost you actually pay.
