About Winnowing
Winnowing, Tovenarij, designed by Yukoring first released in januari 2026 in the set Lorwyn Eclipsed and was printed exactly in 5 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of € 0,14.
Wannen is het meest geschikt voor een op wit gebaseerd stammen- of token-zwaar wezensdek - vooral een spel dat het bord overspoelt met wezens die een enkel type delen (bijvoorbeeld soldaten, mensen, geesten of katten) - omdat je met Convoke op je brede bord kunt tikken om het efficiënt te werpen, terwijl het effect functioneert als een eenzijdige veeg als je wezens allemaal een type delen en de borden van je tegenstanders diverser zijn; het is vooral aantrekkelijk in Commander-tribal-builds waarbij tegenstanders vaak gemengde wezenstypes besturen. Het wordt echter over het algemeen overtroffen door efficiëntere of flexibelere board wipes zoals **Austere Command** (modaal en veelzijdig), **Vanquish the Horde** (vaak veel goedkoper), **Farewell** (kerkhof en artefact/betovering ballingschap ondersteboven), of zelfs **Kindred Dominance** (die het door jou gekozen type beter behoudt), en tribale decks geven vaak de voorkeur aan asymmetrische opties zoals **Kindred Summons** of beschermin

If a creature you control has a mana ability with {T} in the cost, activating that ability while casting a spell with convoke will result in the creature being tapped before you pay the spell's costs. You won't be able to tap it again for convoke. Similarly, if you sacrifice a creature to activate a mana ability while casting a spell with convoke, that creature won't be on the battlefield when you pay the spell's costs, so you won't be able to tap it for convoke.

Tapping an untapped creature that's attacking or blocking to convoke a spell won't cause that creature to stop attacking or blocking.

When calculating a spell's total cost, include any alternative costs, additional costs, or anything else that increases or reduces the cost to cast the spell. Convoke applies after the total cost is calculated. Convoke doesn't change a spell's mana cost or mana value.
