A deck that focuses on sacrificing and reanimating creatures would benefit from using Carnival of Souls, as it provides a constant source of mana while also triggering abilities that benefit from creatures entering the battlefield. However, there are better cards such as Bubbling Muck or Dark Ritual for mana acceleration, and the downside of losing life may not be worth the benefit in most competitive decks, making Carnival of Souls less likely to see play in top-tier strategies.
