A deck that focuses on card advantage and graveyard interactions, such as a control or reanimator deck, would benefit from using Facet Reader. However, there are better cards like Merfolk Looter or Jace, Vryn's Prodigy that offer similar effects with added benefits. Facet Reader may not see much play in competitive decks due to its limited impact compared to other options available.
