Skyclave Shade seria uma boa opção em um deck black aggro ou midrange que visa aplicar pressão desde o início e aproveitar os gatilhos de landfall. Embora sua incapacidade de bloquear possa ser uma desvantagem, sua capacidade de retornar do cemitério e potencialmente entrar com marcadores +1/+1 adicionais o torna uma ameaça versátil. No entanto, pode haver opções melhores, como Bloodghast ou Gravecrawler, que oferecem valor e sinergias mais consistentes em estratégias baseadas em cemitérios, então Skyclave Shade pode não ser amplamente utilizado em decks competitivos.
