Deck "B" in the Pioneer format of Magic: The Gathering be a mono-black control deck with some interesting synergies and a focus on disruption and draining the opponent's life total. The deck features a mix of removal spells like Fatal Push, Thoughtseize, Duress, Heartless Act, and Murderous Rider // Swift End to control the board and disrupt the opponent's game plan. One of the key cards in this deck is Gray Merchant of Asphodel, which can drain the opponent for a significant amount of life when you have a high devotion to black. Combined with Underworld Dreams and other cards that punish opponents for drawing cards, this deck aims to slowly chip away at the opponent's life total while disrupting their strategy.
