This card, Amok, could be beneficial in a deck that focuses on discarding cards for value or has a strategy centered around +1/+1 counters. However, there are more efficient cards like Rancor or Hardened Scales that provide similar effects without the randomness of discarding a card. Amok may not see much play in competitive decks due to its unreliable nature compared to other options available.
