About Attercop
Attercop, Creature — spider, designed by Michele Giorgi first released in Jul, 2026 in the set The Hobbit.
Attercop fits best in a green Limited, landfall, or casual Commander deck that can reliably play multiple lands per turn, especially one using fetch lands or extra-land effects; its reach and deathtouch make it an excellent early defensive creature, while landfall lets it attack safely when a land enters. However, it is unlikely to see competitive Constructed play because its temporary +1/+1 boost is modest and it does not generate lasting value. In stronger landfall decks, `Lotus Cobra` is better for explosive mana, `Tireless Tracker` is better for card advantage, and `Scute Swarm` is a stronger payoff for repeated land drops, though none fills exactly the same defensive role. Overall, Attercop is a solid Limited card and reasonable in budget or Spider-themed Commander decks, but it should generally be replaced in optimized decks.
