Blustersquall is a versatile card that can be beneficial in a control or tempo deck in Magic: the Gathering. It can help in tapping down key creatures to disrupt your opponent's strategy. However, there are better options like Cyclonic Rift, which provides a more impactful board wipe effect for a slightly higher cost. While Blustersquall can be situationally useful, it may not see as much play due to stronger alternatives available.

Casting a spell with overload doesn’t change that spell’s mana cost. You just pay the overload cost instead.

If you are instructed to cast a spell with overload “without paying its mana cost,” you can’t choose to pay its overload cost instead.

If you don’t pay the overload cost of a spell, that spell will have a single target. If you pay the overload cost, the spell won’t have any targets.
