Ensouled Scimitar, Artifact — equipment, designed by Edward P. Beard, Jr. first released in Jun, 2004 in the set Fifth Dawn. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 3.39.
This card could benefit a deck that focuses on increasing the toughness and evasiveness of its creatures to protect them or enable them to deal more damage. While Ensouled Scimitar offers a decent power and toughness boost, there may be better options available depending on the specific strategy of the deck, such as Loxodon Warhammer for lifelink and trample or Sword of Feast and Famine for protection and additional benefits. Whether Ensouled Scimitar should see play would ultimately depend on the overall synergy and effectiveness within the deck's game plan.

A noncreature permanent that turns into a creature can attack, and its abilities can be activated, only if its controller has continuously controlled that permanent since the beginning of their most recent turn. It doesn’t matter how long the permanent has been a creature.
