About Hail of Arrows

Hail of Arrows, Instant, designed by Anthony S. Waters first released in May, 2020 in the set Saviors of Kamigawa and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 1.17.

Hail of Arrows is particularly effective in decks that focus on controlling the board and managing multiple attackers, such as White Weenie or token-based strategies, where you can utilize the card to mitigate damage from numerous small creatures. While it can be a solid choice for dealing with swarm tactics, cards like Wrath of God or Supreme Verdict may be more effective in wiping the board clean of attackers, especially if you want to clear all creatures rather than just damage them. However, Hail of Arrows can still see play in niche scenarios where you want to target specific creatures or in a deck that generates a lot of tokens, making it a situational but potentially valuable card.

You choose how the damage will be divided among the target creatures at the time you cast Hail of Arrows. Each target must be dealt at least 1 damage. If any of those creatures becomes an illegal target before Hail of Arrows resolves, the division of damage among the remaining creatures doesn’t change.
