A deck that focuses on sacrificing creatures for value, such as a black sacrifice or aristocrats deck, would benefit from using Hecatomb. However, there are better options available in Magic: the Gathering that provide more efficient and powerful effects, such as cards like Grave Pact or Dictate of Erebos. Hecatomb may be a fun and flavorful card to include in a casual deck, but it is not considered competitive and is unlikely to see play in more competitive formats.
