About Parallel Evolution
Parallel Evolution, Sorcery, designed by Matt Cavotta first released in May, 2020 in the set Torment and was printed exactly in 2 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 58.24.
This card would be beneficial in a token-based deck strategy, as it has the potential to quickly populate the battlefield with multiple creature tokens. However, there are better options such as Doubling Season or Parallel Lives which offer similar effects at a more efficient cost. While Parallel Evolution can be a powerful card in the right circumstances, its high mana cost and flashback cost may limit its playability in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks.
Rules
03/19/21
To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost (such as a flashback cost) you’re paying, add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions. The converted mana cost of the spell is determined only by its mana cost, no matter what the total cost to cast the spell was.
03/19/21
You can cast a spell using flashback even if it was somehow put into your graveyard without having been cast.
03/19/21
“Flashback [cost]” means “You may cast this card from your graveyard by paying [cost] rather than paying its mana cost” and “If the flashback cost was paid, exile this card instead of putting it anywhere else any time it would leave the stack.”
