While Quandrix Apprentice offers a nice card selection ability, a potentially better card for this strategy could be Baral, Chief of Compliance, which reduces the cost of your instants and sorceries and provides card draw upon countering spells. Quandrix Apprentice could see play in a more casual or budget Simic spellslinger deck, but in more competitive environments, other options may be more efficient.
