A deck that focuses on life gain or life manipulation would benefit from using Tethered Skirge, as the loss of life triggered by its ability can be offset by gaining life through other cards or abilities. However, since there are more efficient and powerful cards available in Magic: The Gathering that offer similar effects without the drawback of losing life, Tethered Skirge may not see much play in competitive decks.
