About Searing Wind

Searing Wind, Instant, designed by John Matson first released in Jun, 2000 in the set Prophecy and was printed exactly in 3 different ways. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 2.74.

Searing Wind could find a place in a red burn or control deck that focuses on dealing direct damage to opponents or their creatures, especially in a format where life totals are lower or where opponents are vulnerable to big bursts of damage. However, at a cost of 8R, it is quite expensive for the damage it deals, making it less efficient compared to other cards like Lightning Bolt or Fireball, which can deal damage for much lower mana costs. Given its high cost and the availability of more efficient options, Searing Wind is unlikely to see competitive play in most formats.
