This card would be beneficial in a black-based control deck that focuses on removal and disrupting the opponent's board state. While Silent Assassin's ability to destroy a blocking creature can be situationally useful, there are more versatile and powerful removal options available in Magic: the Gathering, such as Murder or Hero's Downfall, which offer more flexibility and efficiency. Silent Assassin may not see play in competitive decks due to its limited scope of usefulness compared to other available options.

If you activate the ability during the end of combat step, the creature will be destroyed at the beginning of the next end of combat step, even if that step occurs during a different turn.
