About Tendrils of Despair

Tendrils of Despair, Sorcery, designed by John Coulthart first released in Jun, 1997 in the set Weatherlight. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 2.47.

A deck that focuses on sacrificing creatures for value, such as a Black sacrifice or Aristocrats deck, would benefit from using Tendrils of Despair. While this card provides a decent effect of making an opponent discard two cards, there are more efficient options like Mind Rot or Liliana's Specter that offer similar effects without the need to sacrifice a creature. Tendrils of Despair could see play in specific sacrifice-focused strategies, but may not be the optimal choice in most cases.
