Training Compound, Land, designed by David Álvarez first released in Jun, 2026 in the set Marvel Super Heroes and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Training Compound would fit best in aggressive or midrange Gruul (red‑green) decks that want early color flexibility while still having access to colorless mana for utility costs, especially in formats where basic lands are common and you can reliably enable its second ability; it’s strongest in two‑color decks that prioritize tempo and can guarantee either playing it early or controlling a basic land. However, compared to options like Stomping Ground, Karplusan Forest, Rockfall Vale, Copperline Gorge, or even basic lands paired with Fabled Passage, this card is generally weaker because it either depends on timing or board state for colored mana and otherwise only produces colorless, which can hurt consistency. As a result, it would likely see limited competitive play unless the format heavily rewards colorless mana or lacks better dual lands, but it could be a serviceable budget or synergy option in the right shell.
