Stardates

Stardates is a sci-fi-themed Magic: The Gathering set that follows a crew of planeswalkers and starfarers trying to survive a collapsing galaxy where ancient celestial engines, drifting colonies, and hostile empires all compete to control the last stable routes between worlds; the story leans into exploration, survival, and conflict across shifting constellations of power. Mechanically, the set would revolve around building momentum over time with stardate counters, deploying spacecraft and satellite-style tokens, and using abilities that care about traveling between zones, tapping and untapping permanents, and “orbit” style effects that grow stronger each turn, creating a play pattern that feels expansive, strategic, and very spacefaring.
