About Aura Finesse

This card, Aura Finesse, would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on enchantments and auras, especially in a blue-based control deck that aims to manipulate the board and draw cards efficiently. While Aura Finesse provides versatility by allowing you to move an aura to a different creature and draw a card, there are potentially better options like Retether or Replenish that can return multiple auras from the graveyard to the battlefield, providing more value in the long run. As Aura Finesse resolves, if the targeted Aura can’t legally enchant the targeted creature (for example, because the Aura is red and the creature has protection from red, or because the Aura has “enchant creature you control” and an opponent controls the creature), the spell resolves but the Aura doesn’t move. You still draw a card.

You may target any Aura you control, and you may target any creature (including one you don’t control). Whether the Aura could legally enchant the creature is irrelevant as you’re choosing the targets.
