About Aura Finesse

Aura Finesse, Instant, designed by Howard Lyon first released in May, 2020 in the set Rise of the Eldrazi. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 0.87.

Aura Finesse would benefit a deck that focuses on auras and creature enchantments, particularly in a blue-based control or tempo deck where card advantage and flexibility are key. While Aura Finesse offers a useful ability to move auras around and draw a card, cards like Flickerform or Estrid's Invocation may provide more versatile or powerful effects in an aura-focused strategy. However, Aura Finesse could still see play as a budget option or as a niche card in specific deck archetypes.

As Aura Finesse resolves, if the targeted Aura can’t legally enchant the targeted creature (for example, because the Aura is red and the creature has protection from red, or because the Aura has “enchant creature you control” and an opponent controls the creature), the spell resolves but the Aura doesn’t move. You still draw a card.

You may target any Aura you control, and you may target any creature (including one you don’t control). Whether the Aura could legally enchant the creature is irrelevant as you’re choosing the targets.
