About Boros Battleshaper

Boros Battleshaper, Creature — minotaur soldier, designed by Zoltan Boros first released in May, 2013 in the set Dragon's Maze. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of 1.29.

A Boros Aggro deck would benefit from using Boros Battleshaper, as it can manipulate combat to force advantageous attacks or blocks. However, there are better options for a 7-mana card in competitive play, such as Aurelia, the Warleader, which provides immediate value with haste and additional combat phases. While Boros Battleshaper may be fun in casual games, it may not see play in more competitive environments due to its high cost and slower impact on the game.

A creature forced to block does so only if it’s able to do so as blockers are declared. If, at that time, the creature is tapped, is affected by a spell or ability that says it can’t block, or no creatures are attacking its controller or a planeswalker controlled by that player, then it doesn’t block. If there’s a cost associated with having the creature block, its controller isn’t forced to pay that cost, so it doesn’t block in that case either.
