**Doran, Besieged by Time** would thrive in an Abzan (WBG) toughness-matters deck built around creatures whose toughness exceeds their power, since it both discounts those creatures and turns their defensive stats into explosive temporary buffs when they attack or block. The deck would want high-toughness, low-power creatures (e.g., walls, efficient defenders, or creatures like *Indomitable Ancients* or *Treefolk Harbinger*) and ways to attack safely, possibly alongside trample enablers to convert the temporary stat boosts into real pressure. However, compared to **Doran, the Siege Tower**, which permanently lets creatures assign combat damage equal to their toughness (a much stronger and more consistent payoff), this version is slower and more conditional, since it requires attacking or blocking and only grants a temporary boost based on the stat gap.
