Esta carta, Licid dominante, podría ser beneficiosa en un mazo de control que se centre en tomar el control de las criaturas del oponente para obtener una ventaja. Sin embargo, hay cartas más eficientes como Control Mágico o Traición que ofrecen efectos similares sin la necesidad de costos de activación adicionales. Es posible que Licid dominante no se vea mucho en los mazos competitivos de Magic: The Gathering debido a su mayor costo de maná y a su habilidad menos eficiente en comparación con otras opciones disponibles.

If a spell that can target enchantments but not creatures (such as Clear) is cast targeting the Licid after it has become an enchantment, but the Licid’s controller pays the cost, the Licid will no longer be an enchantment. This will result in the spell failing to resolve for having no legal targets.
