Opportunistic Dragon would be a strong addition to a red aggressive deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides a powerful flying threat and can potentially steal a key Human or artifact from the opponent. However, there are better cards like Zealous Conscripts that offer a similar effect with more flexibility and immediate impact, making them more desirable in most cases. While Opportunistic Dragon has its niche uses, it may not see widespread play due to its higher mana cost and limited scope of abilities compared to other options.

If another player gains control of the permanent Opportunistic Dragon has kidnapped, that permanent doesn’t regain its abilities and still can’t attack or block.

If Opportunistic Dragon leaves the battlefield before its triggered ability resolves, your opponent keeps control of their Human or artifact, it doesn’t lose any abilities, and it can still attack or block as normal. You don’t gain control of it at all.
