波鲁克拉诺斯，未缚 would be a strong addition to a Golgari midrange or graveyard-focused deck in Magic: The Gathering, as it provides a versatile threat that can grow in power and remove opposing creatures. While it may not be the absolute best card in every situation, its ability to repeatedly fight creatures and its resilience to damage make it a solid choice for decks looking to control the board and apply pressure. Other cards like Questing Beast or Voracious Hydra may offer similar utility, but Polukranos can still find a place in certain metagames and strategies.

If a card has multiple abilities giving you permission to cast it, such as two escape abilities or an escape ability and a flashback ability, you choose which one to apply. The others have no effect.

If an amount of damage would be dealt to Polukranos greater than the number of +1/+1 counters on it, all of that damage is prevented, and all of those counters are removed. In most cases, this will result in Polukranos having 0 toughness, so it will be put into its owner’s graveyard.
