This card, Descend upon the Sinful, would benefit control decks looking to wipe the board of creatures while potentially gaining a powerful Angel token with flying. However, in competitive Magic: the Gathering, there are more efficient board wipes available such as Wrath of God or Supreme Verdict that do not require specific conditions to be met. While Descend upon the Sinful may have niche uses in certain graveyard-focused strategies, it may not see widespread play in highly competitive decks due to its high mana cost and conditional effect.
