Mindseeker Oculus would fit best in blue-based control, tempo, or proliferate/superfriends shells that can protect and exploit the Jace token: for only \(2U\), it effectively provides a body plus a four-loyalty planeswalker that repeatedly surveils and can cash in for cards, making it excellent at smoothing draws and generating long-game value. It is especially appealing with proliferate effects, token-copying, or cards that reward planeswalkers entering or dying; however, its power level depends heavily on the Oculus’s missing power/toughness and whether the custom Jace token is intended to enter with no loyalty before being empowered. In normal Magic terms, this is probably stronger than many three-mana value creatures—stronger than cards such as Fblthp, the Lost or Cloudkin Seer for sustained card selection/value—and could compete with planeswalker-generating cards like Fable of the Mirror-Breaker if its body is at all relevant, though it is not necessarily better than established p
