**Contract Hero** (2R) fits best in aggressive red decks that leverage artifacts or discard for value—such as Rakdos Sacrifice, artifact-aggro, or midrange decks that like disposable resources (Treasure, Blood, Clues, or recursive cards like *Bloodghast*). The Treasure on entry helps ramp or fix mana, while the attack trigger rewards decks that already want to sacrifice artifacts (e.g., *Experimental Synthesizer*, Treasures) or discard cards with upside (Madness, reanimation, flashback). However, compared to stronger three-drops like *Fable of the Mirror-Breaker* (which creates a Treasure, filters cards, and becomes a powerful engine) or *Professional Face-Breaker* (which generates repeatable Treasures on combat damage without extra cost), Contract Hero is underpowered and requires additional resources to shine.
