Defiling Daemogoth fits best in a mono‑black or black‑based aggro/midrange deck that can consistently attack with multiple creatures, gain incremental life, and pressure opponents—aristocrats, lifegain‑drain (“bleed”) decks, or token‑based black builds would benefit most, since its end‑step life‑loss scales with all life you gained that turn, not just from combat. It pairs well with lifelink creatures, cards like Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, or Blood Artist–style effects to amplify the drain.
