Furygale Flocking fits best in an Izzet (blue-red) spellslinger deck in Commander, Pioneer, or casual formats that fills its graveyard with instants and sorceries through cantrips, burn, looting, and interaction, making the cost reduction significant and turning it into a mid-to-late-game explosive finisher. It especially shines in multiplayer Commander where it can generate a large evasive hasty board presence spread across opponents, synergizing with cards like Young Pyromancer, Talrand, Sky Summoner, or Mizzix of the Izmagnus. However, compared to alternatives, it is likely weaker than cards like Crackling Drake (which scales with spells and sticks around), Murmuring Mystic (repeatable token generation), Shark Typhoon (flexible and instant-speed), or even Empty the Warrens (more efficient go-wide potential in dedicated storm shells), because Furygale Flocking is expensive, sorcery-speed, and creates temporary pressure rather than lasting value.
