Paraselene best fits a white control, midrange, or Commander deck that does not rely heavily on its own enchantments and expects to face enchantment-heavy strategies, such as Bogles, enchantress, or pillow-fort decks; the life gain is useful against aggressive enchantment decks but usually does not justify the card by itself. It is efficient at three mana, though its sorcery speed and symmetrical effect make it a narrow sideboard or metagame card rather than a staple. In green, `Back to Nature` is generally better because it costs only two mana, while in Commander or slower formats `Farewell` is usually stronger because it can selectively exile enchantments along with other permanent types, avoiding graveyard recursion; `Austere Command` is also better when flexibility matters. Paraselene should see play mainly in limited, specialized white sideboards, or specific Commander metas with many powerful enchantments, but it is not usually worth a maindeck slot in competitive constructed dec
