However, as a one-mana sorcery that deals 3 damage only to a creature, it would generally be outclassed by cards like **Lightning Bolt** (which can also target players or planeswalkers at instant speed), **Play with Fire** (which can hit players and provides card selection), or **Lightning Strike** (instant speed and flexible targeting), all of which offer greater versatility and reach.
