Ribtruss Roaster fits best in a Golgari (black-green) Aristocrats or token-sacrifice deck that can flood the board with cheap creatures, then devour them to grow it and snowball value through its end-step Pest production; it synergizes especially well with death triggers (e.g., Zulaport Cutthroat, Blood Artist), sacrifice outlets (Viscera Seer, Ashnod’s Altar), and counter synergies (Corpsejack Menace, Winding Constrictor). However, at five mana and requiring setup to be strong, it competes with more efficient engines like Tendershoot Dryad (steady token production without extra investment), Mycoloth (a stronger devour payoff that makes Saprolings each upkeep), or even Chatterfang, Squirrel General in token builds, all of which often generate value faster or more reliably; in higher-powered formats it’s likely too slow, but in casual Commander or synergy-focused Golgari sacrifice decks it can be a fun, scaling engine if supported properly, though not an auto-include over more establish
