A tribal deck focused on a specific creature type, such as Elves, Goblins, or Merfolk, would benefit greatly from Kindred Dominance as it can effectively clear the board of all non-tribal creatures, leaving your own creatures unharmed. While Kindred Dominance is a powerful board wipe for tribal decks, there are other options like Damnation or Wrath of God that may be more versatile in different situations. However, Kindred Dominance can be a strong inclusion in tribal-focused strategies where maintaining your own creature presence is crucial.

Once Kindred Dominance begins to resolve, no players may take other actions until it’s done. Notably, players can’t try to save their creatures after you’ve chosen a creature type.

You can’t choose multiple creature types, such as “Cat Warrior.” A Cat Warrior is both a Cat and a Warrior. It’s affected by anything that affects either type and unaffected by things that affect non-Cat or non-Warrior creatures.
