With Stranglehold in play, opponents cannot searc for cards in the library.
Maralen replaces each player's draw for losing 3 life and searching for a card from their deck and putting it into their hand.
As opponents can't search for cards from the library, they can't use Maralen's ability, but they'll lose 3 life anyway.
This way, you create a permanent lock that will eventually win the game with 3 damage every turn.
