A deck focused on enchantments and control would greatly benefit from including Aura Thief, as it can act as a powerful disruption tool by stealing all enchantments upon its death. While there may be other cards with similar effects, such as Clever Impersonator or Copy Enchantment, Aura Thief's unique ability to gain control of all enchantments sets it apart and makes it a valuable inclusion in decks looking to dominate the board with enchantments. Overall, Aura Thief could definitely see play in the right deck, especially one that thrives on enchantment synergy and control strategies.

Gaining control of an enchantment often isn’t very interesting since it probably won’t change what the enchantment is doing. It only matters if the enchantment does something specifically to “you” or “an opponent” or if the enchantment has an activated ability (which only the controller can use).
