Simic Landfall

Simic Landfall is a green-blue ramp and landfall deck built around playing extra lands, generating value from landfall triggers, and turning early mana acceleration into large threats. Llanowar Elves, Fabled Passage, Escape Tunnel, Elven Passage, and the basic lands help develop mana and trigger landfall abilities. Cards such as Earthbender Ascension, Mossborn Hydra, Avatar of Burgeoning Echoes, and Sapling Nursery reward you for consistently putting lands onto the battlefield.

The deck generally wants to establish a fast mana base, use fetch-style lands to create additional landfall triggers, and build a threatening board of creatures or tokens. Mightform Harmonizer, Sazh's Chocobo, and Icetill Explorer support the deck's creature-based value plan, while Surrak, Elusive Hunter can help close games once your board has grown. Blue provides interaction and flexibility through Into the Flood Maw, Mind into Matter, and Quandrix Charm. Ba Sing Se and Origin of Metalbending can add further utility depending on their specific effects.

Good points: The deck can accelerate quickly, gains increasing value as more lands enter the battlefield, and can produce large creatures or wide boards without relying entirely on a single threat. Its Simic colors also provide access to ramp, card selection, bounce, and flexible answers. Cards such as Torpor Orb, Soul-Guide Lantern, and Pick Your Poison give the deck useful tools against creature triggers, graveyard strategies, artifacts, and enchantments.

Bad points: The deck may be vulnerable to fast aggressive strategies if it spends its early turns setting up instead of affecting the battlefield. Its strongest plays depend on having enough lands and landfall enablers, so mana disruption or drawing too many expensive cards can make the deck inconsistent. The manabase is also relatively demanding because it relies on both green and blue sources, including Breeding Pool and Botanical Sanctum. Finally, the deck may struggle against dedicated control decks or exile-based removal if its large threats are answered before they generate value.
