Pioneer - Pro Tour Murders at Karlov Manor Metagame Breakdown

The Pro Tour Murders at Karlov Manor Metagame was officially released today by the official Magic: The Gathering website. Its overall numbers present a mix between the most established archetypes and some unexpected decks with a notoriously high Metagame share.

As pointed out by the Challenges trend since the expansion's release, Izzet Phoenix, Rakdos Midrange and Azorius Control are the three most played decks, sharing over 45% of the Metagame. The combos around Lotus Field and Amalia Benavides Aguirre also appear as the main choices of competitors, alongside Boros Heroic.

The event also brings a notorious share for archetypes with few results at online tournaments. Rakdos Vampires, with Cavern of Souls, Preacher of the Schism and Vein Ripper along with Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord is the strategy that best fits in this category along with the new Indomitable Creativity variant in Jeskai colors ().

No More Lies leads the list of the most played cards from the new set, with 181 copies, one hundred more than the 81 copies of Meticulous Archive and Archdruid's Charm. Lightning Helix, a former Modern staple, stands out with 55 copies, driven by the rise of Niv to Light in the competitive scene.

The Pro Tour Murders at Karlov Manor will take place in Pioneer's draft and build format next weekend, between February 23rd to 25th.
