Magic: The Gathering presented, this Thursday (25), the Metagame of Pro Tour Edge of Eternities, competitive tournament that takes place this weekend between September 26 and 28. The Metagame revealed by the game's official website features a varied scenario, but with clear highlights for Modern. The event has the participation of 300 players.

Among the main archetypes, the main highlight is Esper Goryo, the most played strategy by competitors, with 16.7% of the Metagame. Followed by Tameshi Belcher (15.0%) and Boros Energy (13.7%). Other relevant lists were Eldrazi Tron (7.3%), Izzet Affinity (6.7%) and Esper Blink (5.7%). In all, 32 different archetypes were represented in the tournament.

Among the decks, a set of three cards was most represented: Solitude, Quantum Riddler and Ephemerate were on 78 lists, equivalent to 26% of the Metagame. The combination allows reusing creatures to generate card advantage and control the board.
The competitive environment was considered balanced by experts such as mathematician Frank Karsten and also by the Modern and Magic community on social media. The numbers also consolidated Edge of Eternities in competitive Modern through cards such as Quantum Riddler, Pinnacle Emissary and Icetill Explorer.
The Pro Tour Edge of Eternities starts tomorrow during the MagicCon Atlanta . The event will also host a panel to reveal the expected 2026 releases, which already include Lorwyn Eclipsed, Secrets of Strixhaven, and three new Universes Beyond sets
