About Path to Exile

Path to Exile, Instant, designed by Raf Sarmento first released in May 2020 in the set Magic Online Promos and was printed exactly in 60 different ways. It see play in 5 formats: Modern, Commander, Legacy, Vintage and Duel Commander. It's currently being selled by the minimum price of C$ 1.52.

A white control or removal-heavy deck would benefit from including Path to Exile, as it offers efficient creature removal while potentially ramping the opponent. However, in certain situations, Path to Exile can backfire if the opponent is able to search for a land that fixes their mana or triggers a beneficial landfall ability. Other alternatives like Swords to Plowshares or Declaration in Stone may provide more versatile removal options depending on the deck's strategy, but Path to Exile is still a strong choice in many scenarios and should see play in the right deck.

If the target creature is an illegal target by the time Path to Exile tries to resolve, it won't resolve and none of its effects will happen. The creature's controller won't search for a basic land card.
