Shadow Summoning would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on creating a wide board presence and utilizing flying creatures, such as a Spirit tribal or token strategy deck. It synergizes well with cards that enhance or benefit from having multiple creatures on the battlefield, like those that grant bonuses to Spirit creatures or take advantage of sacrificing tokens. While there are other cards like Lingering Souls that create similar tokens but also provide additional value by being flashbackable, Shadow Summoning can still see play in the right context, especially in formats where instant-speed token generation is less critical.
